Qanun workshop

Join us for a special introductory workshop to discover the elegance of the Qanun, one of the most iconic and time-honored instruments in Arab and Eastern musical heritage.
Together, we will explore the rich history of this unique instrument, its components, and how it produces its distinctive sound.

The workshop will include a live demonstration by Mr. Saddam, who will showcase fundamental playing techniques of the Qanun.
We will also delve into the instrument’s significant role in the traditional Takht ensemble, and trace the evolution of its performance techniques through the ages.

To conclude, participants will have the opportunity to try playing the Qanun themselves and experience its beauty firsthand.
