The Saudi Music Hub – Riyadh presents a specialized workshop designed to deepen participants’ understanding of Khaleeji rhythms beyond memorization, focusing on mechanism, feel, and dynamics.
Led by Ahmad Aljarrah, the workshop breaks down Khaleeji rhythms from the inside out, covering pulse placement, accent structure, articulation, phrasing, and the creation of professional variations applicable to live and contemporary performance settings.
The workshop also highlights the fundamental differences between Sea rhythms and Desert rhythms, and how each approach shapes energy, movement, and musical identity within modern Khaleeji music.

Instructor Bio
Ahmad Aljarrah is a certified world percussionist and professional educator, holding a Master’s degree in Music Performance from Berklee College of Music. He specializes in Arabic and Khaleeji rhythms and has performed and taught internationally. He is currently active in music education and performance in Saudi Arabia
