
Estonian cellist and artist Kaur Nellis will lead a cross-cultural music workshop in Riyadh, joined by Estonian conductor Lehari Kaustel. The session brings together musicians from different traditions to share their styles, exchange ideas, and create music in the moment. Through improvisation, interactive demonstrations, and open conversation, the workshop explores how classical music and Middle Eastern sounds can meet and inspire one another. It concludes with a shared melody, symbolizing unity between Estonia and Saudi Arabia.
Kaur Nellis is an Estonian cellist, composer, and cultural entrepreneur. He has won two national music competitions in Estonia and performed across Europe with conductor Kristjan Järvi. As Manager of Crescendo Nordics, he organizes annual youth music camps in Finland and has collaborated with many well-known Estonian artists. He has been a member of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre Symphony Orchestra, and his artistic journey includes performances under esteemed conductors such as Neeme Järvi, Kristjan Järvi, Lehari Kaustel, Hirvo Surva, Jüri-Ruut Kangur, and others.
