Introductory workshop to Qanun and Oud – two distinct instruments of Oriental Music
Basics:
Participants can expect to learn various aspects and dimensions related to these instruments, especially the historical aspect, the organological dimension, playing techniques, performance methods to mention the few.
Practical learning experience:
The workshop will provide the participants with a practical learning experience by trying to discover these instruments in a practical and tangible way, and try to play them with supervision from the teachers.
Performance Opportunities:
The workshop will include performance opportunities for participants and students studying these instruments, allowing them to display their skills and abilities and thus gain experience in performing in front of an audience.
