Qanun Workshop 

Objectives of the Workshop:

- Introduce the Qanun instrument in a simple academic manner.

- Encourage enthusiasts to start learning this instrument at our hub.

This workshop consists of three parts:

Part 1:

You will discuss some basic information about the Qanun instrument, such as:

- The history of the instrument and its origins.

- The components of the Qanun and its sound characteristics.

Part 2:

Several musical pieces will be performed to illustrate the differences between Qanun playing styles and the techniques used in each style (traditional and modern).

Part 3:

Give participants the opportunity to closely observe and try the Qanun instrument.

Present our teaching methods to the participants.
