Abadi Al-Johar is a prominent Saudi musician and singer, considered one of the pillars of Saudi and Gulf music. He began his artistic journey in the late 1960s and has released over 50 albums, blending classical Arabic music with modern influences. Known as the “Octopus of the Oud” for his exceptional mastery of the instrument, he is renowned for fusing Eastern maqams with Western musical styles. Al-Johar has composed for leading Arab artists and received numerous honours and awards, including the “Music” Award from the National Cultural Awards in 2024.
